Fitting the filament reels, loading the filament

step

• Take the end of the filament, shape as shown in (Fig. 1).

• Push the filament into the PTFE tube as shown in (Fig. 2 ).

• Keep feeding the filament into the PTFE tube until it appears

at the extruder drive screw as shown in (Fig. 3).

You may find when loading the filament that when it reaches where the PTFE tube leaves the cable chain and enters the extruders it

is harder to push. This is normal and the force required depends on the shaping of the end of the filament

Please see extruder first run section for detail of how to take the filament down into the extruder and running the extruders

When the filament reached this

bend point it can be hard to

push. A well shaped point will

make loading easier
